Background
From 1988 through 1992 Contact Systems produced hundreds of CS-400C and CS-400D component locator machines with automatic cut and clinch. These machines were the successor models to the CS-400A and B machines.
The fact that many of these machines are still in operation today is testament to the quality of machinery built by the former Contact Systems. In 2009, many combined factors led to the ultimate demise of the company. The fact that the machines were built so well certainly played a role in this unfortunate outcome. From the ashes of Contact Systems a new company emerged with a new plan…this company is Versatec.
